Back in the good ol' Sudan

Well it was short sweet and before i knew it I was back in Khartoum.

My stay in Korea was very refreshing and much needed. I only got to see Grace for three days, and then she flew out to New York for her Christmas break. I stayed in the Worlds Hotel downtown Songtan and enjoyed a couple of wonderful showers. Grace and I got to watch a few McLeods Daughters and then went up to Suwon and enjoyed one of our regulars of eating at Outback. Always a fun outing. We also went to ICS-P's Christmas party. It is so funny that for the last five years I have spent Christmas break in Korea.

Christmas day I spent with one of our former teachers...Andrew Calamaro and his family. He and his wife are amazing cooks and it was fun to play with his three daughters that used to be in my class.

After Grace left I stayed at her house, and let me tell you, that was very strange. For the past couple of years I have been used to leaving her house at 9:00 on the dot usually and this time here I was heading in to sleep in her bed. It was just a weird feeling. The first day I could not get to sleep until very late, and then I woke up early...I just couldn't relax. Plus add to that the fact that the cats were wondering who this new person was that was sleeping in the bed and taking up the whole space. I would turn in my sleep and "Dude" would jump on my head thinking I was something needing to be caught. The last night I was finally used to it and actually got some really good sleep. Too bad that now I have to get used to my old bed in Khartoum.

I got to do a few things in Korea, but some of the things that I was hoping to do, as I went to do them, I just couldn't go. It just wasn't the same without Grace being there. It just wasn't the same without her there with me...for example one of the things that I did bring myself to go to was Costco, but one of the main reasons was because Grace wanted a bowl of Cheerios on Monday when she would be getting ready to go back to school. So I got that and replaced a few things that I had eaten from her kitchen.

I would like to talk more about this including the people that I got to see again, but right now I am SOOOOOO tired since I just got in the door a couple hours ago, and I have school tomorrow. Plus I'll have more pictures to share, but for now this is the only one that you get. Enjoy and we'll talk soon.

Peace out...later on.
